Our first video premiere was such a hit, we just had to release the sequel: Amazon Day of Action: Demands from Asthma Alley.
Watch as friends of Ship It Zero gather in Long Beach, CA —notoriously nicknamed “Asthma Alley”— to highlight the harrowing community health impacts of port pollution and call for an end to Amazon’s fossil-fueled ocean shipping:
If you were to look into our lungs, every one of us here, our lungs would be black.
— JESSE MARQUEZ, Executive Director, Coalition for a Safe Environment demonstrates the exhaust port-side residents breathe in on a daily basis
Meanwhile, allies in Seattle, WA delivered nearly 20,000 petition signatures to Amazon Headquarters, demanding the company immediately abandon dirty ships and commit to 100% zero-emissions shipping by 2030.

As Amazon leads over 200 companies in a “Climate Pledge,” Amazon continues to transport its own products on dirty, fossil-fueled ships. Each year, Amazon adds hundreds of thousands of tons of CO2 to our atmosphere, pollutes the air and water of port-side communities, and contributes to 6.4 million childhood asthma cases and 260,000 premature deaths.
Thank you for standing with Ship It Zero.
