Our Targets

We're urging Amazon, The Home Depot, IKEA, Lowe's, Target and Walmart to lead the way to clean, zero-emission shipping.
Ship_Angry Angry Ship means Lowe's needs to get their ship together.

If Lowe’s can “Do It Right For Less,” they can steer themselves and other retailers to Ship It Zero by 2030.

Lowe's Climbing Climate Emissions

In 2021, Lowe’s ocean shipping pollution emitted 288,817 tons of carbon and 5.5 tons of methane. Pollutants that have an incredibly negative impact on air quality and public health.

“As one of the world’s largest retailers, we feel a deep sense of responsibility to protect the planet we all share.”

— Marvin Ellison, chief executive of Lowe’s

Lowe's Zero-Emission Opportunity

We need your help to ensure that Lowe’s lives up to this responsibility by demanding they step up to the plate to be a leader in shipping decarbonization. The retailer must adopt zero-emission ocean shipping by 2030. We urge Lowe’s to:

  1. End Port Pollution Now: Use clean energy and electrification in major ports.
  2. Abandon Dirty Ships: Stop moving products on fossil-fueled ships.
  3. Put Zero at the Helm: Commit to 100% zero-emission shipping by 2030.
