Georgia Aquarium, urge your sponsor Home Depot to protect ocean health & portside communities!
Georgia Aquarium, urge your sponsor Home Depot to protect ocean health & portside communities!

Pacific Environment recognizes the growing urgency for bold climate action. Fossil-fueled ocean shipping poses a severe threat to our port communities, marine ecosystems and our collective future. The time is now for the world’s largest ocean import polluters to change course and commit to zero-emission shipping by 2030!

The third-largest ocean import polluter to the U.S., Home Depot, has failed to act despite having received over 13,000 letters from supporters like you.

To increase the pressure, please join us in urging the Georgia Aquarium — the largest aquarium in the United States — to end their sponsorship relationship with Home Depot if they do not commit to zero-emission shipping by 2030.

The Georgia Aquarium has had deep financial ties with Home Depot since the aquarium’s inception and continues to co-brand resources and events with Home Depot. While the Georgia Aquarium states that it is “committed to inspiring awareness and preservation of our ocean and aquatic animals worldwide,” working with Home Depot flies in the face of this climate commitment. It is our hope that they will join us and use their position to urge Home Depot to commit to zero-emission shipping by 2030.

Help the Georgia Aquarium urge Home Depot to abandon dirty ships by 2030! Send a letter to Georgia Aquarium leadership today.
